Wayne: why is it that asians seem to be born good at math
Me: its not that asians are better. i think its the language barrier. every teacher i had for math was russian and couldn't speak english at all. i just think people who can't speak english are drawn into math and physics -- foreigners.

I'm caucasian and got math awards in junior high and high school -- yet I hated it and still do.
Steve is half black (Sicilian) and got an 800 in the math section of his SATs.
Besides, how many math teachers did you have at PSU that could speak english well. I had one and he was white. I don't know. I really don't think it has anything to do with race.
The Bell Curve ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bell_Curve ) is a famous book, yet highly criticised, about the relation between race and intelligence.
Although basically it said the upper class were smarter.... no shit. They have more opportunities and better schooling.
